This week, Year 4 explored the life and achievements of Granville T.Woods as part of Black History Month. The pupils learned about his significant contributions to the development of railway communications. Building on this knowledge the pupils created a simple electrical circuit which incorporated a switch. They then used their creativity and problem solving skills to design different ways of sending messages using a light bulb. 5 Likes
Hornbeam class in year 3 have been studying Marcus Rashford as part of Black History Month. We learned all about his incredible work to convince the government to provide free school meals for more children. To show our gratitude we wrote thank you letters to him and today we took a wet walk to post them all. Fingers crossed for a reply! 16 Likes
